Motorcycle oils
Motorcycle oils are products that could fill several encyclopedias, and there would still be much left unsaid. They can be divided into categories based on their use - engine oils, gearbox oils, two-stroke engine oils, four-stroke engine oils, oils for wet clutches, suspension oils, and hydraulic oils. In addition, there are criteria for selection such as viscosity class (SAE), quality standards (API, JASO), and the base materials used to create the oil (mineral, semi-synthetic, synthetic, ester-based). Fortunately, today's motorcycle oils are so well-developed that there are very few poor-quality oils left on the market, and you certainly won't find them in Trial Shop's offering. The oils available from manufacturers like SIL Lubricants, Nils, Valvoline, Elf, Motul, Ipone, Putoline, Rock Oil, or Castrol in our shop are all high-quality products specifically designed for high-performance trial, enduro, motocross, and racing motorcycles.
Two-stroke Engine Oils - How to Choose?
Two-stroke engine oil has a relatively simple task - it needs to mix with the fuel on its way to the cylinder, lubricate all the bearings, the cylinder wall, and the piston effectively, and then burn as efficiently as possible in the combustion cycle. Unlike four-stroke engine oils, it doesn't need to manage engine cooling or cleaning. However, this doesn't mean that you can pour just any oil into your fuel, and everything will be fine. There are significant differences among various two-stroke oils, regarding quality classes, bases, and additives, and the type of oil for two-stroke engines matters.
The primary task of the two-stroke engine oil is to mix seamlessly with the fuel, lubricate the engine components thoroughly, and burn efficiently. In this regard, the best options are fully synthetic oils, often referred to as "synthetic" or "full synthetic," which meet the quality standards of Jaso MA or Jaso MA2. Excellent lubrication and fuel mixing have become the standard for these types of oil bases.
However, there's another critical factor: cleanliness, which is vital for the proper and comfortable operation of your machine.
Depending on the quality of additives, 2-stroke engine oil often leaves residues in the form of carbon deposits when burned, especially if the engine has been operated at low RPM for an extended period. It's essential to minimize these deposits. Carbon buildup in the combustion chamber or the exhaust port can lead to decreased engine performance. It can disrupt exhaust gas flow and the combustion process of the fuel-air mixture. This doesn't necessarily spell the end of your engine's life, but it can make the engine less responsive and reluctant to rev up.
Fortunately, carbon deposits can be mitigated by "blowing out" two-stroke engines at high RPM, which you've probably observed with riders preparing for a demanding uphill climb or a high jump. However, you can also avoid carbon deposit issues by using oils that are formulated to limit deposit formation during trial riding or Hard Enduro. These oils incorporate well-thought-out additives and a high-quality synthetic base to lubricate the engine components effectively, ensuring the best possible combustion without excessive contamination.
Oils designed for 2-stroke engines, like SIL HRC Competition 2T and Nils Duo Synt S 2T, are excellent examples of products that prevent carbon buildup. These oils have a relatively thin consistency and include top-quality additives. They work exceptionally well for both trial motorcycles and enduro bikes, including those with TPI (Transfer Port Injection) systems. However, these are just a few examples of the products available in our store. We have many more, and we're confident in the quality of each one. All the oils you'll find in our selection have been used in our motorcycles without any issues.
4T Engine Oil
The majority of trial motorcycles are equipped with 2-stroke engines, but 4-strokes are not uncommon in this discipline. 4-stroke engines require even more advanced engine oil. In this case, the engine oil is responsible for lubricating, cleaning, and cooling both the engine and the gearbox, where it circulates continuously in a closed system. Therefore, it needs to maintain its properties for a long time, regardless of the conditions in which it has to work.
For 4-stroke engine oils, there's no room for using low-quality products. That's why in our store, you can choose from only the best products from renowned manufacturers like SIL, Elf, or Castrol. Each of these oils is made from synthetic bases and meets the highest quality standards according to API classifications. In Trial Sklep, you can select from various oils with different purposes, SAE viscosity ratings, and, of course, prices.
Fluids, lubricants, and cosmetics available - Trial Shop has everything you need
A motorcycle's essential chemicals basket should not only contain engine oil. It also includes special cleaning and maintenance products for the vehicle and its individual parts, chain lubricants for trials/enduro, oils to lubricate filters, brake fluids, and hydraulic clutch fluids, as well as coolant. You can find all of this in Trial Shop, a place where no product ended up by accident - each of them has been tested in our motorcycles.
